All the parachute rigs that are used today by skydivingenthusiasts have six important parts.

The main canopy is just the parachute itself.

The drogue chute is a small parachute that is used by skydiversto open the main parachute. Skydivers have to throw out thedrogue and when it catches the wind it will pull out the bridle,a piece of nylon webbing, then the bridle pulls out the mainparachute.

The reserve is also known as the second parachute. This secondparachute is available for the safety of skydivers just in casethe main parachute won't open for any reason.

The container is attached to hold the main parachute and thesecond one in a very safety place.

Another important part in any skydiving equipment is the AAD. Ifanything wrong happens with the skydivers and they can't openthe parachute, this AAD will automatically do it for them atabout 800 feet.

Ram Air Canopies are the type of parachute that is used thesedays by almost all experienced skydivers around the globe. RamAir Canopies are square or rectangular made from a materialcalled lightweight nylon. This type of parachutes are mostlyused because of the safety they offer to the user. Also, greatcontrol was a thing that made this type of parachutes to be usedso much.
